Growing a business means hiring the right people.
Not just people with the right skills.
But people with the right mindset and motivation.
Finding those is a guessing game though.
You won’t know whether the fit is truly there until the person has started working.
Corporate culture can to a large extent take care of employees’ self-selection.
Although early stage startups cannot always enjoy this benefit as there often is no corporate culture to speak of.
That’s why I usually ask the questions mentioned in the video to help speed up the process of fitting the employees into the company.
