You want to make sure everyone in the company knows what they should be doing?
That they feel motivated to do their work?
Change the KPIs so they are a direct consequence of employees’ actions.
Not sales targets.
Not number of likes.
Not how much effort they have put in (how do you even measure that?).
Number of people called.
Number of posts made.
Number of tasks completed.
Then simply train, support and encourage your colleagues and employees to increase the quality and quantity of their output.
They can measure their own progress.
You can measure how their KPIs help accomplish the company’s KPIs.
If the impact is low, the fault lies not with the people and their efforts, but with the KPIs picked and a misunderstanding of what drives your company’s performance.
It is not so complicated.
But it is important.
Help your employees grow and deliver value and the results will take care of themselves.
