Level Up Your Feedback | Daily Jim 56

Having trouble giving feedback?

Or looking for a way to level up the impact of your feedback?

Try using: “[insert respected person] talked about your recent work positively.”

That’ll get most people interested in what you want to say and more receptive to what follows.

You can keep using the third person as a way to reinforce the behaviour you want to see more of.

This method is a double-edged sword so watch out using it to send a negative message.

It can lead to unnecessary insecurities.

Give it a shot.

Improve via trial-and-error.

See your feedback’s impact skyrocket.
