Becoming A Better Colleague | Daily Jim 65

Imagine you’re at your workplace.

Someone walks up to you and asks “Can you give me some advice?”

We feel flattered.

And then the doubt kicks in.

We realize the stakes are higher than we thought.

After all, if the advice leads to failure, we will end up sharing in the blame.

So maybe it’s better not to say anything.

Sounds familiar?

Now imagine that same scenario but this time a family member or close friend asks you this question?

I think you’ll be much more likely to give advice, regardless of the outcome.

You don’t want to let your friend or family down.

More importantly: you don’t overthink and worry if you are in a position to give appropriate advice.

You just do it.

Why not try it at the office more often as well?
